At Minute Maid Park, the SSB faithful were treated to an intriguing pitcher's
duel. Hiroki Kuroda(12-3) finally bested his Anarchy City counterpart, Dan
Haren(8-8), by the score of 3 to 1.

Anarchy City surrendered all of the runs SSB needed in the 1st inning scoring
3 runs on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Ryan Sweeney initiated the
scoring spurt when he slapped a one-base hit. Curtis Granderson stepped up
to the plate and he drew a walk. Alex Rodriguez dug into the batters box
next, but he struck out. Jack Cust stepped in and he lofted a three-run
'big-fly' (his 27th of the season). That was all Kuroda needed. After the
3rd inning, neither team was able to score.

Dan Wheeler earned the save, his 2nd. Haren suffered the loss. He allowed 5
hits and 4 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. SSB added another win to their now
very impressive winning streak.
